FOOTY & ME

My interest in footy began when I was in Australia in 2009. I had the opportunity to catch Geelong play Hawthorn in the Season Opener (a rematch of the previous Grand Final) at the MCG. The sport confused me so much, which was exactly why I wanted to learn how to play it! I started playing footy in 2012, when Hamilton decided to put together a women's team as part of the

I fell in love with the sport right away, and have now completed 2 seasons with the Hamilton Wildcats, and 2 seasons playing with the Northern Lights, Team Canada in the 49th Parallel Cup. The Lady Wildcats have competed in the OAFL Grand Final for the last 2 years, and in the Inaugral Canadian Nationals in Ottawa, August 2013.

It is an honour to represent my country in Women's Footy at the International Level. Being an athlete, especially female, has not been easy. I have poured blood, sweat, tears and dislocated fingers into supporting my teammates at the club and national level.

This year, 2014, the Northern Lights have an incredible chance to win the IC!...and I'm incredibly excited to be a part of it!
